Meath Inter Club League Day 1 A

The Meath inter Club league day 1 A took place at Cushinstown indoor track last Wednesday, as day 1 was split over two nights, only the u10,12,14,&15 juvenile age groups along with the junior, senior and masters competed on the opening night. We had some great performances from all age groups and we came away with 10nr first place, 8nr second place and 2 nr third place finishes to make up our top 20 score. Some stand out performance came from the U10 girls who finished 1st,2nd and 3rd in the long jump, well done to Laura Kelly, Sophie Green and Niamh Murray. Harry O’ Connor jumped 3.05m in the boys u10 long jump to finish 2nd, Lili O’ Connor smashed her pb on her way to winning the girls u12 long jump with a terrific jump of 4.17m, she also had a storming run in the 60m with a time of 8.5s with club mates Ella Healy and Aoife Rutherford finishing 2nd and 3rd. Ivie Okome and Aine Cooney had a great battle in the girl’s u14 60 m finishing 1st and 2nd in a time of 8.16s and 8.2s respectively. Hugh Kelly was also in great jumping form winning the masters long jump with a jump of 5.35m, Siobheal Cummins did the double winning both the masters 60m and long jump. Brian Kiely had a great race in the boys u12 60m finishing 3rd, Kritsada Cooke and Darragh Casey finished 2ndand 3rd respectively in both the u15 60m and high jump.

Thanks to all parents and athletes who made the trip on the night and we look forward to Day 1 B on March 26th.
