The 3rd Ratoath AC Half Marathon & 5K Fun Run is nearly upon us....
We have put together an information sheet which answer all your race day questions
Our Race will be run in accordance with Government, Sport Ireland & Athletics Ireland Covid 19 guidelines.
We are fortunate to have a large facility such as Fairyhouse racecourse as HQ to run our race from.
It will be a very different event from previous years due to social distancing measures with many of our much loved frills removed such as:
· No spectators.
· Post race refreshment unfortunately we are unable to host our postrace refreshment area due to Covid-19 protocol, however all Half Marathon & 5K finishers will receive a goodie bag containing water, fruit, health bar and treats all sponsored by Conway’s Spar Ratoath
· All race numbers posted before race day.
· T-shirts & Medals (for those who have purchased them) will be posted after the event.
· No indoor facilities, portaloo toilets close to the start line and on the route at mile 6 next to Sweenys pub and water station.
START TIME: 1pm for the 5K

Race numbers will be posted on the week of the event, any entries purchased after the 5th of Sept number must be picked up on the morning of the event please add additional time for this.
PARKING: entrance into Fairyhouse racecourse will close before race start please ensure to arrive in plenty of time. Please do not park in vaccine centre's car park see map above.

MEDICAL – is being provided by the Meath Civil Defence.
SHOWERS– there are no shower facilities

Getting to Fairyhouse by car
From the North
Follow Motorway (M1) and exit at Junction 10 and then take the signs for slane on the N51. Enter Slane and take the N 2 for Dublin, and proceed for approx 20 miles and at turn right at junction with R155 (signposted Ratoath). Forward over crossroads at Ratoath and Fairyhouse Racecourse is located on the left.
From the City Centre take N3 towards Navan, passing Blanchardstown Shopping Centre on your left. Proceed for approx. 6 miles on the new M3 and take EXIT 5 for Ratoath/Fairyhouse. Follow signs for Fairyhouse, turn right onto R155 and proceed for two miles. Fairyhouse Racecourse is located on the right.
From the West
After Enfield take Motorway (M4) Dublin. At roundabout (signposted M50 Northbound) take first exit to join Motorway (M50). Proceed through toll exiting onto N3 (Cavan/Navan). Proceed forward for approx. 6 miles on the new M3 and take EXIT 5 for Ratoath / Fairyhouse. Follow signs for Fairyhouse, turn right onto R155 and proceed for two miles. Fairyhouse Racecourse is located on the right.
From the South
Take N7 towards Dublin, at Red Cow roundabout take M50 Northbound. Proceed through toll exiting onto N3 (Cavan/Navan). Proceed forward for approx. 6 miles on the new M3 and take EXIT 5 for Ratoath / Fairyhouse. Follow signs for Fairyhouse, turn right onto R155 and proceed for two miles. Fairyhouse Racecourse is located on the right.

First preference given to Ratoath Community before opening to general public
Numbers will be limited due to Covid
Cost €60 to include;
1. six week training plan
2. entry to 5k fun run 11th September in Fairyhouse Racecourse approx. 1pm
3. Race t-shirt
4. Finishers medal
5. Goodie bag on race day (sponsored by Conway's Spar)
T-shirts and medals to be posted after the road race
In the event the road race does not proceed we will organise a virtual 5k so all couch25k participants will still get to do their 5K and receive t-shirt and medal

Option 2: Intermediate
Option 3: Advanced
No walking groups this year due to restrictions on numbers
Training Times - 6 weeks training at Ratoath AC athletic track, Jamestown Sports Campus
This event will be run in accordance with government guidelines.
In the event of any changes in restrictions due to Covid, we will still provide training plans each week for participants to do their training individually out on the roads and a virtual 5k will be arranged to do the 5k.
