Fit4Life: Couch to 5K programme details

  Ratoath AC Fit4Life:  Couch to 5K Beginner programme
7 week training programme

Training Times:  Monday 8-9pm, Wednesday 7.30-8.30pm, Friday 9.30am-10.30am
Where:                 Running track at Jamestown (grass track)
When:                  4th May – 20th June 2015
Registration:        Thursday 30th April, Ratoath GAA 8-9pm
Proposed 5K:       Saturday 20th June:  5k park run –
Cost:                    €35 non members …. Free to current members

Suitable for: Adults & Older teenage children of all levels of exercise ability including walkers, joggers and beginner/intermediate/advanced runners.


Aim of the 7 week programme
  • Beginner programme - walk/run 5k in 7 weeks
  • Intermediate programme - run 5k in 7 weeks
  • Advanced programme is to increase current pace and comfort in running 5k


Remember– the hardest part is always getting off the couch and leaving the house!! The most rewarding part is coming back in after doing your training knowing that the couch didn’t win

Most Important - Have fun… it will make the whole experience more pleasant, Get out of the house, meet new people, make new friends or bring old friends too.
