Membership, Times of Training, Behaviour at the Track, Easter Holidays, and Competitions.

Hi Folks,
Just a few reminders to everyone regarding Membership, Times of Training, Behaviour at the Track, Easter Holidays, and Competitions.

You must be a member to train with the club. We allow 1 session as a trial prior to joining and after that you must join to continue training and everyone must signin and hand in their €2 at training once during the week. We will be checking this week. Membership forms can be downloaded from our site under the docs tab. If you are brand new to the club you must also have a copy of passport or birthcert with the correct cheque/cash. We have closed membership to new members at U6,7,8, and will shortly be closing membership for the older age groups.

Your young athlete must come to training at their correct time otherwise they end up training with older juveniles and the training is not suitable for their age and development.
U9 2006 Mon 6-6:50pm
U10 2005  Tues 5:30-6:30
u11&U12 2004,2003 Tuesday 6:30-7:30 Thursday 6:30-7:30
U13+ 2002,2001,... Tuesday 7:30-8:30 Thursday 7:30-8:15

Our code of conduct and anti bullying policy in the club forbids athletes from pushing, shoving or engaging in other types of physical contact or verbal bullying of their fellow team mates. Behaviour that starts off as a 'playful' jostle can quickly escalate and we don't want that to happen. If your child sees something like this happening get them to let the coach know as quickly as possible. The sessions run slow and progress to more advanced training is held up if coaches have to repeat every instruction because of messing. Please tell your young athlete to listen to the instructions then they can have a chat when it is sensible to do so eg walking back from sprints etc.

The coaches will use a 3 point warning system re Discipline - 1 Verbal Warning, 2 Time Out for 1-2mins and then welcomed back into the training session, 3 Time out again and Take down name to inform the children's officers who will contact the parents. Repeated names coming to the children's officers may mean that the child will be asked to leave the club.

Easter holidays for the 2 weeks of Easter returning back to training on week of 28th April.
