National Senior Championships

The National Senior Championships were held in Morton Stadium last Saturday and Sunday. For the first time in a long number of years Ratoath had athletes competing in both individual and team events. Eamon Wallace while not at full strength due to a foot injury just missed out on making the Senior final in the 100 and 200m, Abraham Zaidan set a new pb in the 200m in a time of 23.88, which is well ahead of his target for this year.  The senior men’s 4 x 100m relay team consisting of Peter Doherty, Eamon Wallace, Joey Wallace and Abraham Zaidan finished just outside the medals in 4^th position in a time of 45.6s, while the 4 x400m team consisting of Neil Finnegan, Eamon Wallace, Peter Doherty and Abraham Zaidan finished 6^th setting a new club record of 3:44.57s in the process. Best of luck to Eamon, Joey and Abraham who will be competing this weekend in the National U18 & U19 100m finals in Tullamore.
