If you are free this Saturday and into a 5k run that's a bit challenging, try the Mullaghmeen Hill Run. It's a trail run, so bring runners that have a good grip on them. The race is hosted by St Brigids Athletic Club and incorporates the Meath Hill Run Championships.
Mullaghmeen Forest: Mullaghmeen is the largest planted Beech Forest in Western Europe. The area of 1,000 acres are situated on the Meath / Westmeath border 5 miles outside Oldcastle.
Theres great refreshments after and it's a very scenic run!
