Very busy weekend for Ratoath AC athletes.
On Saturday Conor Duncan opened his indoor season with a solid solo run
in the guest 800m at round 2 of the national league in AIT on Saturday. His
winning time of 1 min 55.63 is an indoor PB and club record
Early on Sunday morning at the National junior / u 23 Indoor Championships
Philip Marron won he first AAI national individual medal with a superb
2nd at the u 23 1500m championships in an indoor PB and club record of 3
min 58.23 sec
Brian Kiernan missed the break in the junior 400m but battled his way
back up from 5th to finish third in his heat with a 52.29 sec posting. He just
missed out of making the final
Peter Kilgannon was third in his heat of the u 23 800m and qualified for
the final 90 mins later where he finished 6th in 2 min 1 35
Cushinstown AC Indoor Track & Field Competition
Our
younger athletes were also out early to compete in the Cushinstown AC Indoor
Track & Field Competition
It ran off well and a good competition. Results for Ratoath AC Athletes U12
60m Katie Doherty 2nd place, Saoirse Carrigan 3rd in 60m final, U13 - Ciara
Flanagan and Caoimhe Fitzsimons both qualified into 60m final.

Niamh Murray 2nd place (out of age) pb 1:40
Amy Forde (out of age) pb 1:30 high jump just missed out on medal for
3rd place with count back.
Well done to Claire Rogers ,Millie Corcoran, Ella and Aoibhe McKenna and
Mila Who all had a great competition in sprint, long jump and shot putt events. Thank
you to parents for bringing athletes today to Cushinstown
Raheny 5mile road race
Later
in the afternoon at the Raheny 5mile road race Ciaran Crowther had a fantastic
run and was took the award for 1st
Junior in 28 mins 51 sec. Our ever growing adult members also turned out a great
gang to take part in the Raheny 5 Joanne Corrigan, Rachel Connolly, Joy Tyrrell, Joyce
Fitzharris. Noelle Capewell, Brid Conway Olive & Anthony Rice. Well done
all and thanks to Raheny for a great race and a filled goody bag.
